Delete your Crumpert account
Effective: 2026-07-13 · Version: 1.0.0
You can delete your Crumpert account and its data at any time. This page explains how, and exactly what is deleted or kept. It applies to accounts created on the website and in the Crumpert mobile apps.
How to delete your account
In the app or on the website:
- Sign in to your account.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account, and confirm.
Deletion takes effect immediately.
By email: if you can't sign in, email privacy@crumpert.com from the address on your account and ask for deletion. We action requests within 30 days (usually much faster) and may ask you to confirm ownership of the account.
What is deleted
- Your account, profile, handle, avatar, and bio
- Your posts, comments, likes, reposts, community-chat messages, and direct messages
- Your subscriptions (paid subscriptions stop renewing; see below)
- Your push-notification device tokens
- Creator track-record data attached to your publication
What is kept, and for how long
- Billing records (Stripe invoices and payout records): kept for 6 years as required by UK tax and accounting law. These live with Stripe; we keep only a reference.
- Fraud-prevention and audit logs (sign-in IP addresses): kept up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Legal-hold material: content subject to an active takedown notice or legal obligation is retained until the matter closes.
Deleting your account does not refund or cancel obligations that already accrued — an active paid subscription is cancelled at deletion and simply doesn't renew.
